Whisky Tea
Posted by Irus on July 22, 2007
i was looking to make a new drink and came across whisky tea! here are two ways of making it – one chilled and one piping hot. I personally prefer the chilled style but it’s easier to make the hot whisky tea. Enjoy!
Hot Whisky Tea
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 tea bag
- 1 (1.5 fluid ounce) jigger Irish whisky
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1 teaspoon white sugar
DIRECTIONS
Pour boiling water into a mug, and place the tea bag in to steep for about 1 minute. Remove and discard the tea bag. Pour in the whiskey, milk and sugar as desired. Stir, drink and relax.
Chilled Whisky Tea
INGREDIENTS
- Crushed Ice
- Green tea leaves
- Some whisky
DIRECTIONS
Get a long glass add crushed ice to it. Pour some whisky and add green tea leaves to it. After 2 minutes remove the leaves and have a chilled relaxing drink!

sure..I’ll let you know! Chilled whiskey milk? Now what’s that?
Yeah, I am a die hard vodka fan. But I haven’t been drinking much (not after my New Year’s Eve fiasco). All I have been drinking lately is beer.

Nice! I just invented something similar with some friends a few days ago. We call it Twisky and we don’t use milk.
For the chilled version, try making some black tea, adding a shot of whisky, a few teaspoons of sugar, a hint of lime juice and plenty of ice. It gives a perfect summer drink, much more enjoyable than plain iced tea!
I find “Twisky” more fun than “Whisky Tea”, since it can make interesting slogans such as “You ski? Twisky!”
