1.8 ghz pentium

512 MB Ram

80 GB HDD

ATI Mobility Radeon 9600 64MB

Positives

Out of the box experience is substantially better

Resumption from sleep is double as fast. Booting is substantially faster.

All programs installed flawlessly i.e. Astrology Software such as Parashara Lite 6.1 and Hora

The DivX videos are playing smoothly

HP Printer software is working great.

Negatives

UAC and DWM need to be disabled for quick redrawing of windows

indexing still burns the hard disk

DRM is still around and needs to go

Conclusion

The right direction for SP1, though im sticking with XP for now, maybe till 2010.
