The following are my service details:
Date of Joining Service:9.5.1983 as L.D.C.
Received 1st Promotion :23.2.1994 as U.D.C.
and continuing till date as U.D.C.
1s : My query is in view of recommendations of 6th PC under A.C.P.scheme, how may pay fixation will be fixed.
2nd: upto the year September, 2005 I was holding the post of UDC in pre revised scale of Rs.4000-100-6000/- in subordinate department of Ministry of Labour where next applicable scale was 4500-125-7000; After that I had been absorbed in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs, in the same capacity where the next applicable is Rs.5500-175-9000/-. My next grade may please be indicated keeping in view of new scale/pay bands.

Kindly note that minimum pension increased during announcement the budget for 2007 / 2008 was increased from Rs.1,300/- to Rs.1,500/- per month w.e.f July 01, 2007.
The monimum pension has now been increased from Rs.1,500/- to Rs.2,000/- w.e.f July 01, 2008 as announced by GOP during the budget for 2008 / 2009.
Kindly confirm if I am entitled for a minimum of Rs.2,000/- per month w.e.f 01/07/2008 for you ready reference the extract from relevant section No.22 of EOBI ACT 1976. which in addition to confirmation of my retirement states the method of minimum pension to be fixed on reduced terms. The act does not describe any further fixation of minimum pension on the same reduced terms. I have been enjoying minimum pension increased from Rs.966/- to Rs.1,300/- then Rs.1,500/- duly approved by the department as per sticker pasted on the book with their rubber stamp.
EXTRACT FROM:
THE EMPLOYEES OLD-AGE BENEFITS ACT, 1976
Section 22.
CHAPTER – V
BENEFITS
Sub Section:
2C) An insured person who retires from insurable employment before attaining the age of sixty years (fifty-fife year in the case of woman) but after attaining the age of fifty-five years (fifty years in the case of woman) shall be entitled to a reduced old-age pension on fulfilling the following conditions, namely:-
(a) the Institution is satisfied through documentary evidence that the employer has a definite establishment retirement age of less than sixty years (fifty – five years in the case of woman);
(b) the employer certifies that the insured person has been retired by him on attaining the age of superannuation; and
(c) the contributions in respect of him were payable for the period required under the provisions of this Act.
2D) The old-age pension shall be reduced by one-half per cent of the old – age pension specified in the Schedule for each completed month by which the age falls short of sixty years (fifty – five years in the case of woman) and the minimum old-age pension shall also be reduced in the aforesaid manner in the case of retirement from insurable employment before attaining the age of sixty years (fifty –five years in the case of a woman).
2E) The reduction in old-age pension specified in sub-section (2D) shall be for life and shall not be restored on the insured person’s attaining the normal pension age.
I shall be much obliged to receive an early sympathetic favourable reply for a senior citizen.

In 01.01.2006 i am LDC, UT of Pondicherry my Basic pay is Rs.3425 from Sept’2005 in the Scale of Rs.3050 – 4590, Subsequently i am promoted as UDC on adhoc basis w.e.f 19.5.2006 in the scale of pay Rs4000-6000 and fixed Rs.4000. Now what is the basic pay to be fixed ? and there is any option to be exercised ? further,what method of fixation i am more benefited !

On 01.01.2006 my basic pay was Rs.5000/- in the pre-revised pay scale of Rs.4000-100-6000 with date of increment falling on 1.3.2006. Subsequently, I was promoted to the grade of Assistant in the pre-revised pay scale of 6500-200-10500 with basic pay as Rs.6500 with effect from 29.03.2007. sir,i retired as scientist E from DRDO on 31 jan 2003 in the pre-revised pay scale of Rs 14300-400-18300 ( now placed in the pay band -4 ie Rs 37400-67000 plus Rs 8700 as grade pay. My basic pension as on 1 feb 2003 was 7890 pm’ As per fitment formulae my consolidated pension as on 1.1.2006 comes to some value however as per para 4.2 of the govt notification dated 1 sep 2008 issued for fixation of pension of pre 1.1.2006 pensioners which states that the pension so fixed will not not in any case shall be less than 50% of the minimum of the pay in pay band plus the grade corresponding to the pre revised pay scale from which the pensioner had retired it works out to much higher value kindly confirm what will be actually my consolidated pension as on 1.1.2006

The Govt has issued fresh clarification regarding implementation of Govt decesion for revision/ payment of pension of pre 2006 pensioners/f.p. vide their OM No.38/37/08-P&PW(A) pt-1 dated 14th Oct,2008. Now the public sector banks whoever disburse pension are made responsible
to revise and disburse the enhanced pension and arrears in terms of para 4.2 of OM dtd 1.9.2008.Now Banks will revise pension in terms of para 4.2 with in one month.
This is for information to all pre-2006 pensioners like me.

Sir,
My father is a pensioner. He was retired from Railway w.e.from 31.07.2002. His date of Birth is 15.07.1942. At the time of retirement his Basic Pay was Rs.4200, Scale Rs.4000-6000. Last Ten Months Average Emolument is Rs.4120. He Completed more than 33 years qualifying service as on retirement.On Retirement his pension fixed Rs.2060. Commutation of Pension is Rs.824 (i.e. 40% of Rs.2060), Residuary Pension is Rs.2060-Rs.824 = Rs.1236.I want to know that in six pay commission what is his pension fixed? I have seen in ready reckoner his pension come Rs.4656. If it is right, then he is eligible for Pension Rs.4656 + DR + Medical Allowance. Please give feedback.
